Pilates for Equestrians
Have you ever thought about how much attention you give to your horses mobility, flexibility, balance and strength? And how little attention you give to these same areas in your own body.
Well…this is were regular pilates practice can help.
Pilates is an exercise regime that can support and improve all these areas, without stepping a foot in a stirrup.
Regular Pilates sessions will help you to develop improved body awareness and an ability to maintain balance more independently, use multiple aids simultaneously whilst maintaining a more secure and balance position.
It’s not about being able to sit in a neutral pelvis position, stiff and upright. It’s about having the mobility, flexibility, and stability to be able to move and influence your horse in a positive and clear way, reducing the noise created between rider and horse.
